The Challenge
The client needed a comprehensive fleet management solution to track their delivery vehicles across multiple cities. They were struggling with manual route planning, fuel inefficiency, driver safety monitoring, and real-time visibility into their operations. This solution was to be given to their operations team to take full advantage as well integrate into their app. SO they wanted someone who could understand their business and their needs and build a solution with their inhouse team of software engineers and developers.
Our Solution
The team built a comprehensive fleet management platform with real-time GPS tracking, interactive maps, and intelligent route optimization. The system includes driver mobile apps, admin dashboards, and automated reporting. Key features include live vehicle tracking on Google Maps and MapQuest using low powered IoT devices, geofencing alerts, fuel consumption monitoring, driver behavior analytics, and predictive maintenance scheduling. The platform processes thousands of location updates per minute using WebSocket connections and Redis caching for optimal performance. We also use Mapbox for visualizations and analytics.
